We source only naturally shed sheaths from areca palm tree farms. No trees are ever chopped down or harmed in our harvesting process.
The raw sheaths are rinsed thoroughly with fresh water to remove any dirt or dust. No chemicals, chlorine, or dyes are used during washing.
Damp sheaths are pressed in hydraulic heat presses containing tailored metal molds. High temperature sterilizes and permanently shapes the plates.
Edges are carefully trimmed and sanded to prevent rough fibers. Each plate is vacuum cleaned and checked for structural integrity.
